Grammys 2015 Best Dressed List Featuring Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Rita Ora
Ombré tints, 1920s inspired flapper fringe accents, sculpted sequin dresses and dramatic hi-lows all inspired our favorite celebrities who hit the 2015 Grammys red carpet looking READY! Let’s dive right into the top ten and see which one’s you feel deserve the limelight.
Taylor Swift wore a ravishing blue and aqua high low ombré dress by Elie Saab, with edgy cutouts at the shoulder and playful fuchsia platforms for color-blocking. It’s my favorite look of the evening!
Rita Ora handpicked a striking column style silver sequin dress by Prada. This dress works because of the line direction of the sequin pattern. Gliding from top to bottom at the center are elongating vertical lines, contrasted at the top half by bust lifting diagonal lines facing upward, and finally curve creating diagonal lines facing downward. It’s a genius body-con dress with grammy worthy glam factor!
Nearly naked never looked so classy! The elegant sleeves and beaded adornments of the outer shell of this black mesh dress exquisitely contrast what’s revealed underneath. Combine that with polished hair and waist belt detailing to wrap up the look and the end result is mysteriously classic. Well done Jessie J and designers Ralph and Russo!
Tom Ford designed Nicki Minaj’s breathtaking fringe flapper gown echoing the 1920s. The plunging, sheer halter neckline nearly gives the cameras full nip view, but the risque upper half is graciously tamed by a floor sweeping beaded fringe skirt.
Kim K loves regal! Her intricate, boldly beaded Jean Paul Gautier dress was like nothing else on the read carpet. Clusters of hand-sewn jewels at the shoulders, wrists and pockets radiate a militant vibe, while the decolletage barring V-neck and high slit reinforce her infamously sultry signature.
Silver bar accents add toughness to Katherine McPhee’s otherwise super girly pink Emilio Pucci dress. Beyond the tone, the halter neckline and diamond cutouts also feminize the look.
WOW! Go Ashanti! I could see Kim Kardashian wearing this, we all know she also loves goddess silhouettes and royal adornments. The neckline and bodice are what make this dress special. Crisscrossing straps wrap around the neckline, down the torso and then meet at the waist, which confidently introduce a magnificent high slit skirt!
Proenza Schouler custom made this sharp deep V-neck, embroidered and sheer cutout dress for the 53 time Grammy winner, Beyonce!
Check out how the design on Chrissy Teigen’s clutch acutely matches the body-con detail of her Gucci column dress. Smart accessory pick!
Look 10: Paris Hilton chose a divine sheer, bedazzled dress by Yousef-Al-Jasmi. Her pulled back tresses helps to draw attention to the distinct focal points at the shoulder, illuminating her trim waistline.
