Fringe: Trending On Spring/Summer 2015 RTW Runways
Do you have any fringe in your closet? Well, you should! Designers like Alberta Ferretti, Pamella Rowland and Marchesa are showering modern cut dresses, skirts, tops, vests and more with fringe in their Spring/Summer 2015 collections, and also using dyeing techniques to give them more visual interest.
The feminine movement of fringe and its crisp hemlines makes it one of my favorite details on garments and accessories. An otherwise flat surface is transformed into a dynamic 3D piece.
Pamella Rowland added ombré fringe embodying a peplum silhouette to high-waisted pants, which looked fabulous paired with a fitted mesh top.
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi created zig zag, stripe and chevron color patterns on fringe one shoulder, deep V neck and spaghetti strap dresses.
Marchesa’s aqua fringe bib swayed gracefully over a lace sheath. And Alberta Ferretti veiled the hi low hemline of a pink sheer dress with a party of fancy fringe!
See how fringe is trending on the runway. One of the most striking pieces is the fringe cape with flower pedal adornments by Alberta Ferretti. And if you like simple looks, all it took was a camel tone fringe vest to add flair to a white peasant dress by the designer. Lookie lookie!
