Sheer Accents: Runway Trend From Fall/Winter 2015 RTW Collections
Class and sex appeal tango when we melt sheer over our arms and necklines. It’s like wearing a mysterious veil, a delicate overlay adds a tantalizing touch to modest looks. Mature women know sheer glazes have an ability to preserve grace and sophistication, while flaunting our sensuality. Monique Lhuillier, Nicole Miller and Misha Nonoo chose to use this technique in their Fall/Winter 2015 RTW collections as seen at New York Fashion Week. Since the arms and neckline are usually the most trim and structured areas of a woman’s body, highlighting these zones with transparent fabrics is effortlessly figure-flattering. Layer a sheer top under a dress, pair it with a skirt or find the accent built into a dress, there are several ways to make it work! Here are some of my favorite runway examples. Which look would you try?
