Falls Top Fashion Trends This fall, fashion is going ultra ladylike. Let me just take some time to bask in the glory of the fashion moment I have been rather impatiently awaiting. I am, after all, the girl who never goes a day without my pearls and always opts for skirts over jeans. With all of this season’s pretty options, it will be easy to channel your inner princess. (Or if you need some inspiration, you can always look to Princess Kate, my personal style icon.) But make sure you think princess with a punch because this season’s looks are sophisticated and polished without losing even an ounce of their feminine charm. I just can’t get enough of this timeless look turned suddenly so right now.

Lace adds an instant touch of feminine to any outfit. Just keep it polished. To ease into the look, try a subtly stated lacey top. I’m absolutely in love with Lucky Brand’s new lace button up top. It’s something anyone could wear to pull lace into her look. The button up shirt and collar keep it structured, but the flowery lace makes it dreamy. I always love a good juxtaposition, especially one pulled off as well as this. The white button up should be a staple in anyone’s closet, but paired with the lace patterned detail makes for a really special piece. Lace is very versatile this season in everything from tops to dresses from sweet to sexy; this is not the lace of your grandma’s doilies or, God forbid, her negligee.

When it comes to patterns, the loveliest of them all has to be polka dots this fall. And again, it doesn’t hurt that anyone can wear them. To really pull this look off, opt for smaller polka dots. Navy blue with white polka dots are the classic pair, but I also love red and white. Head to toe pattern is completely acceptable right now, so go for the must have polka dot dress if you want! But if that’s not your thing, don’t despair. Just go for the accent pieces instead. A great polka dot scarf or purse is just as acceptable. Or opt for my personal favorite and go for the polka dot heels for a little peek of the trend that can be dressed up or down.

Finally, pull this look together and take a cue from our classic movie heroines. Invest in a pair of leather driving gloves this fall.Whether you are actually going for a drive through the countryside or not, these gloves will be a great addition to any fall wardrobe. I know they will be finding their way into mine. Victoria Beckham is one celebrity A-lister frequently seen wearing the gloves proving that they can be sophisticated, feminine, everyday accessories. The best part about them? They make a statement that says pretty doesn’t equal pushover!
